How can I send picture mail with Sprint without getting data charges?
I was told this would be a free service with the plan that I have, but so far I've gotten almost $9 in 'casual' data charges. I don't have the internet on my phone so I do not access the internet so my charges can't be from that.
I've had this plan and phone since yesterday and have sent 2 picture mail messages and received 2. For doing 4 messages that seems like a lot of 'casual' data usage.
I talked to sprint about this very issue today. When you recieve a picture you need to save it to your phone when you receive it. If you don't save it it is still online and everytime you look at it you are charged data time. As long as you save to your phone there is no data charge. Also if you upload pictures to picture to your picture mail account you will be charged data time. You can send pictures from your phone witout uploading and you will not be charged. Hope this helps. FYI when I talked to sprint they removed the charges. They don't explain this very well...they know people will get the data charge but that is our problem not thers. All cell providers do this.
